For nearly a decade, this specialized service has been serving information seekers in the United States. Offering a comprehensive suite of services, it is known as the one stop destination for background checks, address lookup, and court record lookup. It is considered to be among the most accurate and reliable human information discovery resources available.

This website is simple, streamlined, and intuitive. Offering three levels of reports, you can find exactly what you need without paying extra for information you don’t need. One of the most unique features of US Search is the absolutely free registration. The only information required is name, email, and password ñ in less than 30 seconds you’ll be ready to search. You will not have to select one level of service and pay a subscription fee. Instead, on a case be case basis, you can choose the most appropriate level for each specific search.

Instant People Search

At the most basic level, Instant People Search, you will have access to all of the basic information you might pay $14.00 or more for at some websites. The full name, current address, age, and phone number are included. Additionally, even at this basic level you can get a comprehensive list of aliases, maiden name, address history, and death record if applicable. The price is certainly right, with all of this information offered for less than $3.00.

Advance People Search

The second level of service offered by US Search, is called Advance People Search. With this report you will receive everything available in the Instant People Search, and then some. The advanced option also includes email addresses, and social profiles. You can find your long lost friends or old classmates on Yahoo, Linked In, Facebook, MySpace, and more. Affordably priced at less than $20.00, this report costs about the same as most basic people search reports.

Advanced Background Search

The most comprehensive people search report you can buy is the Advanced Background Search. In addition to all of the information included in the Advanced People Search, this report includes all of the information you can’t find anywhere else. You can learn about relatives, neighbors, associates and properties. You can also delve into the background of the person in question with marriage/divorce records, bankruptcies, tax liens, lawsuits, criminal search and more. When you need to know everything about someone, or want to play private eye with no risk, this report is available for less than $40.00.

If you frequently need to access people search results, you may be thinking the pay as you go plan could get pricey. In reality, this is not the case when compared to many alternate services. Additionally, US Search offer convenient and discounted subscription services for frequent users. The simplest option, which suits the needs of most light frequent users is the Search and Save package. For a low fixed price of only $16.95 per month, you can gain access to an advanced background report, three advanced people searches, and two reverse phone lookups every single month.

For investigators, corporations, or anyone else with a need for large volume searches, there is a tailor made option. The Bulk Search feature allows you to enter exactly how many of what searches you need in a convenient web form. You will be given a custom quote, with the best possible price on your needs. With a stellar reputation for excellence in customer service, you can count on US Search to provide you with the lowest prices and highest level of service every time.

Homeschooling is a great option for parents that want more control over the quality and content of their child’s education. However, when you first embark on the homeschooling journey you will inevitably be faced with family concerns. These concerns usually focus on how it is done, what it will cost and what limitations it has. Learn the answer to these questions before you talk with your family so that they will be just as excited about this new learning adventure as you are.

How Is It Done?

The first concern your family is going to have about homeschooling is how you will do it. They will ask you questions about your teaching ability and the curriculum. The best way to approach these questions is to first do your homework.

Homeschooling is becoming more and more popular, particularly in districts where public schools are shutting down or underperforming. Unlike in the past, today there is a great selection of pre-packaged and modular curriculum programs that you can purchase. These programs provide multimedia education modules that cover everything that your child wants to learn about. You can even select between religious and secular curriculum programs.

These prepackaged curriculum programs offer assistance in teaching the material. Many programs come with teacher guides and other resources that you can use to enhance your teaching capabilities. Programs for older kids shift the teaching responsibilities from you to independent study with online support. This will help ensure that more complex subjects that you may not be skilled in can still be offered to your kids without sacrificing mentor support.

What Does It Cost?

Another primary concern that families have about homeschooling is the cost. It is true that most school districts do not pay for homeschooling programs, so you will be responsible for covering the costs. However, this trend is changing. Some school districts offer a virtual school option or a voucher program that will cover homeschooling expenses. Virtual schools offer students the opportunity to learn at home using a computer and Internet access. These programs are covered by some school districts. The voucher program is another option that parents have in some school districts. Here the district will provide vouchers that allow parents to send their kids to whatever school they want, virtual, home or a school in another district.

Other Concerns

Many family members are going to question your decision to homeschool because they think that it just is not as good as going to public school. One of their concerns may be that your child will be socially isolated. To quell this concern you can tell them about the homeschool conferences, support groups and other social activities that are built into the design of a homeschool program that will provide your child with adequate opportunities to socialize.

Quality education is a top priority for Madeline Binder. She focuses her writing on providing parents with information and science experiments at the HomeSchool Science Store so that they can make wise choices when it comes to educating their families.

You just returned from your appointment with your primary physician and she told you exactly what you didn’t want to hear, but you knew that it was coming. Since you got laid off from your job you’ve become depressed and sedentary. You’ve gained weight, you’re not exercising regularly, your blood pressure is through the roof and the depression has you physically and emotionally shackled.

She prescribed a laundry list of drugs – most of which have side effects and warnings that sound worse than the ailments themselves. Clearly, something has to change. You can’t continue to live like this and you certainly aren’t thrilled about the alternative if nothing changes. You need a change of scenery. You need to get out. You need to be needed again.

You need…to go walk a dog. That’s right, go walk a dog.

Call it therapy or call it a business. Dog walking is a way to get you off your duff, out of the house and doing something that will benefit you, your neighbors, and, oh yeah – a dog.

Here are some dog-walking benefits:

Exercise – Getting out and walking a dog gets you moving. It’s likely just the kind of moderate exercise you need without the costly gym fees or the sweaty towels. Walking helps your metabolism, so you’re burning calories and losing weight; it helps your cardiac function, so, while you’re losing weight and getting the blood pumping, you’re also improving your blood pressure. You’re starting to feel good about yourself again.

Accomplishment – Getting the word out about your dog-walking business gives you something to focus on other than beating yourself up for not working. It gives you something to strive for – pardon the pun – and keeps your mind, hands – and feet – occupied. Put together some simple fliers on the computer. Get your mind and creativity going. Make an appointment or just stop by local pet shelters, veterinarians and pet stores. Talk with the managers and see if they’ll let you post fliers. Hey, this is really fun!

You’re needed – When you get that first phone call from someone, meet them, their dog and book that first appointment, you’re going to feel really good. Wait, did you catch that? You feel really good! When’s the last time you felt really good about yourself? And, it’s not only the humans who are happy. You see the tail on that dog going a mile a minute? That furry friend is thrilled at the opportunity to get out of the house and be a dog. You’re needed. You feel good. You’re looking good. You’re not on medication. And, oh yeah, you’re making a few bucks too!

It seems like even old favorites like dolls, trucks and even board games come in a modernized, battery-operated version these days.

You can find toys that claim to that they can help your child learn to reach, teach them Spanish, improve their coordination and keep them occupied for hours. It might seem like there is very little reason to eschew electronic toys, however, it’s important to understand that kid-powered toys still have a lot going for them.

1. Traditional toys require children to use their imaginations. While battery operated toys are no-doubt entertaining, they limit the ways that children can interact with them and often impose a story-line and course of play on the child. In contrast, traditional toys are much more flexible and require that the child dictate the course of play, develop a storyline and use their own gross and fine motor skills to further the action.

It’s easy for children to become passive observers when using electronic toys. In contrast, traditional toys demand more of children. This might make them seem less appealing to kids and parents at first glance, but in the long run they ultimately provide more play value and help a child develop a rich imagination while actively improving their development in a wide variety of areas (language skills, abstract thinking, motor skills and so on).

2. Traditional toys are better for a child’s developing attention span. Flashy, animated toys are better for grabbing a child’s attention but they soon become satiated and lose interest and can only be satisfied by something even flashier. This hinders a child’s ability to increase their attention span and can lead to difficulties in school and work later in life.

Toys that require a child to become immersed in the activity to enjoy them, such as blocks, dolls, wooden vehicles, puzzles and traditional board games help a child increase their attention span by giving them positive motivation to stay focused and engaged. Instead of relying on external motivation and stimulation to stay interested, children learn to increase their interest by exercising their creativity and making innovations by marrying their imagination with their previous experiences playing with the toy or game.

3. Traditional toys do a better job of teaching social skills and encouraging language development. While there are plenty of battery operated toys on the market that offer exercises to help children learn language skills, they fall short of the benefits children reap from interacting with those around them and being read to. Even individual pretend play helps children stretch their language skills as they increase the complexity of the narratives they use to describe their game.

There are electronic games that are meant to be played against or with others, but again, they can’t compare with the skills that children learn by playing face to face and having the primary focus be each other rather than being mutually engaged by an electronic game. Children who are working together to build with blocks, play house or create an imaginary world are engaged on a richer level and get more experience with reading body language and cooperating to accomplish a mutual goal.

There can be a place for toys with batteries in your home, however, moderation is the key and care should be taken that electronic toys are merely a part of your child’s play opportunities instead of forming the bulk. Let your child enjoy the opportunities that come from playing with toys that work on kid-power, not battery power!

Authors Jacob and Carol Maslow are the proud parents of five preteen children who have learned from experience that real toys don’t require batteries. Carol works as a therapist, specializing in integrating developmentally delayed preschoolers with their classmates. Jacob works at online retailer Today’s Concept, where parents can find the classic Melissa and Doug Toys.

According to this science, people are divided into psychological types, depending on which way they can best receive and transmit information.

Socionics, in particular, says that you can easily find a common language with a person of your type. It’s worth to remember when choosing a babysitter or nanny for your child.

If you are looking for a nanny for an infant, then your priorities should be neatness, tranquility, patience. But if your kid has come into the age when the first place take the issues of intellectual development, you should take socionics into consideration.

Who are you, my happiness?

Socionics singles out 16 types of people which, in turn, are divided into 4 groups: researchers, communicators, practitioners, humanities (other names are possible for each group).

The researchers are people who strive for cognition and systematization. Babies of this type are always trying to figure out how things are connected. Here’s how behave three-year old researchers:

• Often ask “why” and are ready to hear the answer, even quite extensive.
• They like to speculate on “what if … then …”.
• Like to find out what are the family connections, who is who in the family.
• Like to draw conclusions.
• Prefer to play with constructor, are interested in board games.

What you shouldn’t expect from them:
• Desire to fight physically.
• That they eat a lot.
• Enthusiasm for the fairy tales – they are interested in the story and the characters motives, not miracles.
• The desire to dance in public; artistic abilities.

Kids-communicators of the same age:

• First make acquaintance in the sandbox, at the park, etc.
• Talk about new friends with enthusiasm , and you are wondering how they were able to find out everything
• Early start to speak.
• They love stories about “real kids.”
• Can play all sorts of games, just to be with someone!
• Quite active and not very careful.
• Positive, quite docile.

What you shouldn’t expect from them:

• That they will stand still at the bus stop and wait for a bus.
• Ability to entertain themselves.
• Calm reaction to the refusal to have a dog or a brother.
• Cessation of trying to “make adult business.”
• Grace and accuracy (including the table and in the creative process).

Humanities are small actors.

• They like painting, music, and theater.
• They adore being in the spotlight and show the results of their work.
• Fall asleep if they meet with the numbers.
• A simple question can be answered with something unimaginable.
• Not very mobile children who create the impression of light and graceful ones.

What you shouldn’t expect from them:

• Eating meat in large quantities.
• Success in sports such as combat.
• Good response to your “no.”
• Absence of tears.
• Straightforward honesty.

And the last group – the practics. These children:

• From infancy don’t cry plaintively cry but shout indignantly.
• Able to dictate even to adults, “as it should be.”
• Well-versed in the devices and toys, can not only destroy but also to repair.
• Early start to care about themselves, unexpectedly quickly learn the “adult businesses”.
• They are pleased to participate in a physical fight and are trying to win.

What you shouldn’t expect from them:

• Imagination and love for fairy tales. They are more interested how to make the focus, rather than how it looks to the audience.
• Sensitivity. These children, even on the faces of loved ones do not always see the correct emotion.
• Absence of jealousy to the newborn little brother.
• Conflict-free games in the sandbox.

As you can see, the children are different. One of the most important rules of Socionics says: we must develop what is given, not something that a child is missing. Let it be the star at heart, than a middling after training. That is why, ideally, the development of the child must engage people of the same psychological constitution. From this person a child will perceive the information better and easier. And this concerns not only to developing lessons, but also basic household matters – it is much easier to negotiate talking in one language!

For whom the nurse?

Meanwhile, parents are often looking for a babysitter “for themselves.” If a child is like a parent, it’s all right, the nurse will arrange all. If you admit to yourself that your own child is different from you, then try to take a hard look to his reaction to a potential babysitter and take it into account when making decisions.

How can parents clasify nannies on their own?

Nurse-researcher – is often a thin woman. Getting older, she may grow stout, but the facial features are sharp. She looks dry, but not strong-willed. She greets with a child quietly, as with a colleague. Tells in detail what she can do, behave with restraint, she has all the documents stacked neatly.

Nanny-communicator smiles broadly at the door and peeps you on the shoulder in search of a child. Squats, says “hello” and, perhaps, pulls out a toy or candy. She speaks loudly and gestures. Keeps referring to her beautiful former pupils. She may have rounded features and plump figure.

Nanny-humanities seem to talk with you a little detached. May ask the child a paradoxical question. Her documents can be messy, clothes – a bit of creative chaos, but certainly with some decoration. The eyes of the nurse light up when she talks about the creative sessions with the child.

Nurse-practitioner clarifies at once her responsibilities, asks where things are located in the house. Asks questions as to a directory, inquires about the mode of the day and the rules to be followed by a child. Sets out her views on education in the mode: if you do not agree – good-bye. She is a physically strong person with a calm look and confidence.

Yet your child the must say a key word. As a rule, with a nanny of suitable personality type they will have mutual admiration at first sight.

The picture of the ideal family isn’t quite complete without a dollop of the natural world thrown in – in the form of domestic creatures of one kind or another. Children don’t just get the fairly obvious advantages of learning patience, kindness and responsibility by having to nurture something that is as dependent as a pet; they also get lots of fun.

What Critter To Choose

One of the brain-teasers for the long-suffering parent is the issue of how to match the child to the right sort of pet. Contemplative types might enjoy staring at a stick insect or iguana for hours on end, but that doesn’t describe most kids’ idea of pet-bonding joy.

Is It to Be a Bow-Wow?

Of course, for responsiveness towards its human carer, the dog takes some beating. Everything from toilet roll ads to soppy Disney movies testifies to the chemistry between young human and young canine. A creature that cavorts endlessly on the lawn is just the thing for tiring out Junior. Dogs are a big whole-family commitment, though. They are great companions, but will of course mature and can lose interest in play, quite apart from growing large. A fun pup for a youngster is often a mongrel of smallish proportions that won’t become huge and cumbersome, and is likely to possess an even temperament. Among pedigree breeds, Boston Terriers, being small and manageable, are said to be a good choice for kids. Pugs are very family friendly and full of energy, while again being of a size that kids can handle. Looking at the next size up, Beagles have a good reputation as child-friendly pooches, and Bulldogs can take the rough play that kids will subject their pet to. Most dog experts will advise you to go and meet adult versions of the breeds that interest you, possibly by going to the local Dog and Cat Home or Pound. Learning about the parents of a pup before you buy is also sound advice.

Many families just can’t go down the doggy route, mainly due to the commitment involved. Cats, of course, are known for being aloof, unfortunately, rather than matey, so can get ruled out as a kid’s pet. In fact, with the right child – one who is gentle and not too young a kitten, handled and familiarized right from the start, can grow into an affectionate member of the household. They are reasonably easy to care for and, famously, self-cleaning.

Small is Beautiful

Most parents prefer to start on a smaller scale. One worth considering, if you can stand the thought of it in the house, is a rat, or, better, a couple of rats. Sound gruesome? They are, as scientists know, not unintelligent and are even trainable. Reasonably responsive to their humans, they need to be kept in pairs. A suggestion that several experts put forward is the exotic leopard gecko, an extremely cute reptile which can learn to be handled. Geckos need to live in an adequately tank, of course, and benefit from UV lighting.

All in all, it is probably the humble guinea pig that is the best bet. Most of them are tame, some even affectionate, and few bite. Best of all, they don’t sleep throughout the entire daytime, unlike hamsters. To be happy, guinea pigs really need to live in pairs; they are delicate, so should not be handled roughly. They are ideal if you have a vegetable plot, as their diet needs to be high in fresh produce.

Mice, rabbits and gerbils are of course the main other creatures to consider. If nothing else, the learning curve for kids when contemplating possible pets is valuable. It can help with developing other skills, too, not least compromise, commitment and a caring attitude.

Finding a babysitter in this day and time can be tough. You can’t just leave your child with anyone and expect them to be okay. Finding the right person for the job ensures the safety and security of your precious children. If you are on the search for a babysitter, the following tips will help you. Make sure that the babysitter that you choose has the following qualities.

Experience. Whether you are looking for an all day sitter to watch your children while you are at work or you just need one for a couple of hours while you run errands, you want the babysitter to have plenty of experience in working with children. Babysitters with a lack of experience may not know how to meet the needs of your children.

References. If the applicants claim to have experience, have them back up those claims by providing you with references. A good candidate will need to have plenty of references for you to follow up on. Contacting references is a way to get the truth and opinion from other parents who have needed babysitting services.

Trustworthiness. This is a very important quality to look for in a babysitter. Why? You will need to trust the person you choose to keep your kids in your home. You want your valuables to be protected, along with your children. Countless babysitters have been caught stealing from families. Be sure that the sitter you choose is trustworthy. This will give you peace of mind while you are away from your home and children.

Reliability. If you are going to use the babysitter while you work, this is an especially important quality. Being reliable is key in caring for children. You will need to be able to trust that the person you choose to babysit will be on time every day. Yes, you will have a backup plan in place but you should rarely have to use it. A reliable babysitter will be on time and call in very little.

Patience. This is another essential quality of a good babysitter. Caring for children can get hectic at times. The sitter will need to have patience to work through the days that energy levels are high or children simply misbehave.

Leadership skills. Do you want your children to grow up to be leaders? If so, you will want the babysitter that will spend time with them to model leadership skills. As a leader, the babysitter will stand her ground when it comes to making decisions. Whether it is how to handle misbehaving or deciding what time is bedtime, leadership skills are essential.

The ability to make decisions in emergency situation. Some people simply do not have the ability to make decisions during emergency situations. They become flustered or simply don’t know how to handle it. Make sure that the sitter you choose knows what to do if there is an emergency such as a fire or if a child has a bad fall.

Training in CPR. Does the sitter have training to deal with emergencies? This can is a very good quality to look for when determining who will get the job you are offering. Volunteers of America often offers free CPR training classes that you babysitter can take before you she keep your child. Make it a requirement to ensure the safety of your children.

A love for children. This is probably one of the most important qualities to look for in a babysitter. There should be a natural love and affection for children. Not everyone has the ability to deal with them. A love for children should be evident. Pay attention to first impressions when you babysitter meets the children for the first time. Is there a love for children?

Willingness to follow the rules. Lastly, you want any person who comes into your home to watch your kids to be willing to follow the rules. You will have rules for the children and the babysitter to follow during the time in which she keeps them. There should be a willingness to obey.

Choosing the perfect person to babysit for you can be a struggle. Make sure the decision that you make is surrounded by the qualities listed above. How does your sitter measure up?

It’s back to school time, yes, so busy mothers technically will have the house to themselves (unless you have really little ones) but you won’t always have the nights to yourself. Sometimes you (and your partner) need that.

I’m not talking about dimmed lights and nudity, nope – just talking about a date night here – you can’t forget to continue to build your relationship with your husband, or long-time partner or whatever relationship you may be in. Don’t let your own life take the backseat to your children!

You don’t need to post listings for nanny services or desperately seek an au pair – most of us don’t need full time help (though there are days when I’m sure we all wish we had it). The local teen who has been around your kids as they were growing up anyway will usually suffice. Or the college student come back to their parents for winter break. (Usually they’re cheaper, too).

But what to do when your babysitter is occupied with your children? There are a lot of things to do, but the most important thing is to do it together.

You can actually make it a date and go to dinner somewhere more fancy than you usually would, and go see a movie after! If you’re feeling a bit more adventurous, I would suggest going to dinner with your significant other at a place that offers cuisine that you have never tried before – Portuguese, German, Japanese – wherever!

Or, if you’re looking for something a little less conventional, here are a few ideas for your date night:

Ice staking – it’s a great way to get exercise and to bond – whether it’s laughing at yourself falling on the ice or holding hands while lapping the toddlers, the ice rink is a nice change of scenery. And you can get hot chocolate afterwards!

Local concert – Bring your own blanket or chairs to a local outdoor concert in the summertime, especially. Relax and spend time enjoying the music and each other.
